Recording artist Godwon (Neyu Nyan) was part of a group that recently donated hospital equipments worth 30Million Naira at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital.
In a statement released by Godwon, he gave insight on what inspired him to make this enormous donation. He said “Due to the Death of my father, Dr. Col. Elias Nyan (who was an advisor to ex President General IBB and also Special Adviser to Senate President David Mark, a position he held at the time of his death in February 2009, my family and Kunak Foundation had promised the citizens of Kaduna State and Nigeria at large that we shall do our best to answer the medical cries of our siblings here at home with the needed medical supplies from Diaspora. I was the first donor into this project with over N10million and with what I put in; I was able to gain the support (both financial and inspirational) on KUNAK Foundation, Ex President General IBB, Kaduna State Governor Patrick Yakowa, and Sen. President David Mark who are all devoted patriots of this country”
The donation is of implantable cardiac devices with wireless telemetry, the latest technology worldwide “We know ABUTH to be more than adequate in its experience of cardiac surgery and a with the arrival of these equipment, it will further boost the efficiency of the hospital in treating the ailments and will not only benefit the weak in heart but it will simply save lives!”
Godwon, famous for his hit track “too much money” who has just returned back to the country after about 20 years in the United States concluded that there are other things he has in stock for Nigeria. “The devices are just a tip of the iceberg of what I plan to bring and do in Nigeria aside of music. We are always excited in helping our fatherland”.
