Contrary to news making the rounds that estranged couple, 9ice and Toni Payne had reconciled/on the verge of reconciling, 9ice says it's not true. When asked if he and estranged wife Toni Payne had reconciled since she's always seen at his home, 9ice replied.

Yes, she comes to the house, but she has not returned. What happens is she comes to the house, because in our Yoruba tradition, she has the right to visit the father of her child or children and if there's space or accommodation, she can stay briefly to see her children. She's been coming to the house, but that doesn't mean that she was coming to beg me, or me begging her. That chapter is closed for now.

Let Nigerians Carry Arms, Pastor Oritsejafor Tells Jonathan

The National president of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to allow Nigerians to carry arms to defend themselves against the insecurities in Nigeria. The killings in Jos, the kidnappings, the robberies, bomb threats etc...

Oritsejafor stated that if the government could no longer guarantee the safety of lives and property of Nigerians, then the National Assembly should immediately enact a law to make every Nigerian to carry arms for self protection.

NCC Advises Nigerians to Ignore Rumours of Phone-Induced Death

The 'killer' numbers are supposedly 09141 and 091441. So basically, when these numbers call you and you pick = you die! Some people claim that 10 people died in Wukari while receiving calls from these phone numbers. Really? Wow! And some people are buying this? OK!

Anyway, the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has advised Nigerians to ignore such rumours. The commission said the claim is false and without any iota of truth, and that nothing like that could happen to somebody responding to a phone, no matter the number through which such calls are made.  It is only very gullible people that will believe such a rumour, they said

Basically, there are no killer numbers! So, relax people!

An open letter from a Beat FM employee

Dear Jack,
This letter had to be written anonymously because we have been ‘instructed’ not to speak to the press. We are appalled by Olisa Adibua’s actions, and feel his physical assault on Dewunmi was barbaric and completely wrong. What’s even more shocking is that he wasn’t removed from the premises immediately. Olisa was his usual self the day after the incident, and was seen chatting and laughing with the GM Deji Awokoya (who was well aware of the assault). He was still permitted to do his show on Thursday, and went on to host the Beat of Lagos on Friday night.

Bomb Making Factory Discovered in Suleja

Men of the State Security Service (SSS) yesterday Tuesday Sept 6, claimed to have discovered a bomb-making factory in Iku Village in Suleja, a town outside Abuja that has been hit by attacks in the past year.

Materials recovered included a gas cylinder, detonator materials and other items. Six people have so far been arrested.

WikiLeaks names ex-first lady, others as oil thieves

New United States Government cables published by whistleblower, WikiLeaks, have identified a former first lady (names withheld), unnamed highly placed Nigerians, senior military officers, Lebanese, Iranian, British and American businessmen as oil thieves. The cables claim that they all played active roles in the illegal bunkering business in the Niger Delta.

The cables also put the huge loss that the country sustained from illegal bunkering at about 91million barrels of oil per annum.
