Seun Kuti and his Egypt '80 band will perform live at the Afrobeat Explosion concert on Saturday December 24th at Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage, V/I. Time is 8pm till midnight. Gate fee is N3,000 regular and N5,000 for couple. You can get tickets at Terra Kulture.

Opa William's Night of a Thousand Laughs comes to an end

After 15 years of staging the comedy show yearly, producer Opa Williams has decided to rest it. Night of a Thousand Laughs was first staged in 1995 and launched the careers of so many comedians, including Basketmouth and Julius Agwu. The last show will hold in January 2012.

Arch-Bishop of Lagos, Cardinal Olubunmi Okojie, set to retire

Yesterday Dec 11th was exactly 45 years Anthony Cardinal Olubunmi Okojie was ordained as a priest. He became an Arch-Bishop in 1973 and a cardinal in 2003. The 75year-old Arch-Bishop of Lagos State is getting ready to retire as he is said to have sent his retirement notice letter to the pope.

400L Lasu Student, Chinyere Ezeala, Found Dead in Lover's House in Ejigbo

A final year student of the Lagos State University, Ojo, Chinyere Ezeala, 27, has been found dead in her lover’s room at Ejigbo, Lagos, southwest Nigeria after a marathon sex.

The police at Ejigbo alleged that the 400-Level student was found dead on Friday on her lover’s bed at 36, Fayemi Street, Ejigbo, Lagos. She was found wearing a wrapper.

Game publisher Activision Blizzard, announced today Monday Dec 12th that Modern Warfare 3, the latest entry in their blockbuster shooter series, Call of Duty, topped $1 billion in worldwide sales just a record 16 days after its release on November 8th, beating the previous record holder, James Cameron's 2009 3D film 'Avatar', which took 17 days to reach the mark.

Collapsed Building at Oba Akran Ikeja Lagos

A building located at 114 Oba Akran Road in Ikeja, yesterday morning collapsed without much warning. The building, which was a cold room, owned by Hano Industry, began to shake a few minutes before it collapsed. Thankfully there only a few people in the building at the time of the incident and they all managed to escape unhurt.

Delta State Governor Donates N3m To Bedridden Enebeli Elebuwa

 

The governor of Delta State, where the sick veteran actor is from, has pledged N3 million to help with the actor's medical bills and welfare. Governor Uduaghan made the pledge recently after calls where made to him to assist the actor who has been bedridden with stroke for over two months now. The governor of Lagos state, Raji Fashola and some of Mr Elebuwa's colleagues have also made donations.
